Behold the flowers of June!  how fair

And bright their buds appear,

As, opening to the summer air,

Our eyes and hearts they cheer!

It's time to come out of hiding and enjoy the wonderful season.  There is so much to do in the summertime!

I would like to buy all the pretty flowers for my garden!       Okay mom?

We are all ready for summer fun.  We'll only come lounge here when the clouds open up to water our world outside. .

I can't forget a parasol when the sun rays are too bright.    I've been told that sunburn can be quite painful not to mention it will wrinkle up my soft youthful skin.   

We like to share a few treats and sip on a nice cool drink at the garden edge during our playtime intermission.

A game of chase and tag is a always fun or just blitzing around in sunshine and fresh air.

If your mom forgets to take a parasol,  a palm leaf will work well too.

A bucket and shovel are always fun too.  You can pretend you are digging on a beach somewhere if you don't feel like working in a garden.  

Mom tells me I'm not supposed to give bad ideas but I personally like to dig for wonderful earthworms and snails and slugs!

Make pretend we are in a far away place is fun to play.

Poolside doggie cocktails are mighty tasty too!

 

I like pretend I am the mighty bull frog hunter too.

If I sit very still and quite, I just may spot one to chase.

I love summer!

Mom says I must always wear my safety vest when I  dip my feet in a lake or ride on floaters.

A trip to the beach is a real blast!  The sand and waves tickles your toes!

I like my wading pool.

  It keeps me cool and best of all it can be moved to wherever I want it!

According to Henry Looey Lockwood,

get plenty of liquid nourishment during summer. 

Don't go thirsty or your tongue will feel yucky and

 you'll run out of get up and go!

Camping is a  great adventure. The smells and taste of food over a campfire is the best!

Beware of bears and creepy crawly creatures !

city fountains are splendid to play in and  cool you off too!

One word of advice my friends. 

Always mind your manners. 

Think twice before you do something you're not supposed to because....

If you can't get out into the wilderness,

You might find yourself sitting home in time out missing  all of the fun... 

or worse yet, sitting on hot coals.

Please don't forget to take time to stop and smell the flowers.
